Instructions for LADS Travel Grants

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Invitation to LADS resident-in-training (pre-dermatology board certification or equivalent) from LADS member societies (Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) to submit UNPUBLISHED educational abstracts for the RCD2020. The panel of judges from the scientific committee will select 2 outstanding abstracts from each country to be presented in the FREE PAPER session during the congress.

To submit, kindly register at www.rcd2020.org without payment to initiate the process and send the abstract to abstract@rcd2020.org An endorsement letter from training institution is mandatory to verify qualification.

Deadline for submission is by 30 November 2019. Outstanding authors will be announced by 15 December 2019 to allow sufficient time for presentation and travel procedures.

Each outstanding candidate will receive a USD 1000.00 travel grants sponsored by LADS member societies and complimentary registration by DST. Awards ceremony will take place during the Plenary Session

  1. PRESENTATION FORMAT
  2. Please choose your presentation format preference from the following list:
    • Oral Presentation for the FREE PAPER session
  3. THE ABSTRACT ITSELF
  4. Title – The title should be brief, clearly indicating the nature of the presentation.

    Authors – List the main/ presenting and all authors

    Institution

    Body – ABSTRACTS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDIES should adhere to the following format:

    A. Introduction – This should give background regarding the topic that you are writing about. This may include what prompted this study and what you are examining, studying or reporting.

    B. Objective – This should be a statement explaining what you sought to establish, measure, observe or prove.

    C. Materials and/or Methods – This should include how you carried out your study, what you examined and how you measured or analyzed the material or data.

    D. Discussion/Results – This should include what your analysis revealed and what it might lead to. Final data must be submitted.

    E. Conclusion – Summarize what you proved or disproved.

IMPORTANT: Abstracts that do not include final results and instead indicate "results will be presented in time for the meeting" will not be accepted.

THE ABSTRACT HAS TO BE SUBMITTED IN ONE OF TWO WAYS: 1) WORD DOCUMENT OR 2) PDF FILE AND SEND THE ABSTRACT TO ABSTRACT@RCD2020.ORG
